Sadly, six year-old <a href=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/animals\/rescue-pit-bull-terrier\/2946\"><em><strong>terrier<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>Lucy later died. The sad event took place on Saturday after the dog lunged at her owner <em><strong>Lisa Pott<\/strong><\/em>s&#8217; attacker &#8211; her violent ex-boyfriend <em>Walter Williams<\/em>, who had come at her with a knife.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what happened in Ms. Potts&#8217; own words:<em> &#8220;Lucy lunged at him and once she lunged at him he caught her in the neck, and once he caught her in the neck she just went to biting him, she was still fighting\u2026 Once I got her downstairs I just asked someone for a towel and applied much pressure as I could to it to try to save her life, but she was a fighter and she did good, she really did. If it wasn\u2019t for her, you know he could\u2019ve probably stabbed all of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailydigest.com\/eu-tell-trump-to-pee-off-over-tariffs\/\">us<\/a>.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019m about to break down in tears now, my heart is heavy cause I hate that happened to her\u2026 I was calling her name, comforting her, rubbing her head, making sure she was still alert.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3527\" src=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Hero-dog-2.jpg\" alt=\"Hero dog \" width=\"1056\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Below is Walter Williams, the violent coward who attacked his ex-girlfriend, ultimately killing her poor dog. Williams was immediately\u00a0taken into custody by local <a href=\"https:\/\/dailydigest.com\/open-carry-men-walk-into-detroit-police-station-with-guns\/\">police<\/a>. He\u2019s now\u00a0in jail on a battery charge.
