Greenville, Alabama.<\/strong>\u00a0At the counter of a local Taco Bell<\/em><\/strong>, Lt. Col. Robert Risdon<\/em><\/strong> is looking at the menu, trying to work out what he’s going to order. In walks a couple of local kids. They approach him and ask him if he wants to buy a homemade dessert. The kids must be hard up for money. Without thinking, Robert puts his hand in his pocket and asks the kids if they’re hungry. Of course, they are. So he buys them dinner!<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were in the store trying to sell desserts. I noticed they had just gotten out of the rain, they were both soaking wet. I had to do something,”<\/em> Risdon said of the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in a Taco Bell tonight when two kids came in trying to sell homemade desserts for money,\u201d witness\u00a0Josh Gibson wrote on Facebook<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cI overheard a soldier ask the kids if they were hungry and told them to follow him to the counter, he would buy them dinner.\u00a0I had to video it and share. Our troops are always taking care of us<\/a>.\u00a0I heard the little one say I want to be just like u when I grow up and saluted him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
