When a stranger approached\u00a0Briar Lusia Mcqueen whilst she was breastfeeding<\/a> her 8 week old baby in a cafe, the young mother feared the worst. We regularly hear stories<\/a> of breastfeeding mothers being asked to move somewhere private or, worse, cover up, and Briar was concerned. But nothing could be further from the stranger’s thoughts.<\/p>\n

For the woman sat down and proceeded to cut up Briar’s breakfast, so she could eat it at the same time as feeding her son at the cafe in\u00a0Mount Maunganui, New Zealand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Briar wrote on Facebook:<\/a><\/p>\n

“Today was the first time I went out for breakfast alone with my 8 week old son.\u00a0I had just received my breakfast and hot chocolate when Jaxon started crying wanting his booby so of course I fed him.\u00a0After a few minutes this older lady walked up to me, I was scared, thinking she was gonna tell me to put my boob away.\u00a0Instead she starts cutting up my breakfast for me and said “what a good mama you are, we can’t have your food<\/a> getting cold can we? I\u00a0honestly could have cried,\u00a0loveliest lady ever.”<\/em><\/p>\n

After the post appeared on Facebook, Briar’s story went viral<\/a>, receiving\u00a0123,000 likes,\u00a05,467\u00a0comments and 3,884 shares.<\/p>\n
