However, rather than pay for the $400 television, the man requested a refund.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/smiling-conman-1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6009\" src=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/smiling-conman-1.jpg\" alt=\"smiling conman 1\" width=\"500\" height=\"676\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When the cashier asked for a receipt, the suspect walked up to the supermarket manager, and shook his hand, which the cashier took as a signal that he should give the refund. The man was given \u00a3330 (approx $400) in cash, and brazenly marched out of the store. It was not until reviewing <a href=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/dancing-sheriff-deputy-elevator\/\">CCTV <\/a>later that day, that staff realised what had happened.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/smiling-conman-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6010\" src=\"http:\/\/dailydigest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/smiling-conman-2.jpg\" alt=\"smiling conman 2\" width=\"500\" height=\"676\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Aldi supermarkets have as-yet remained silent. However, Lincolnshire Police put out the following statement:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>&#8220;We are looking to speak with this man seen on CCTV as we believe may be able to assist our enquiries. If this is you, or you recognise this person, please call 101 quoting &#8220;incident 324 of January 2&#8243;.
